What is a Death Doula?
A death doula plays a crucial role in supporting individuals and their families during the end-of-life process. They are non-clinical professionals tasked with some or all of the services that encompass the role, such as planning and advocacy, legacy projects, spiritual support, and comfort measures. By offering emotional, spiritual, and practical support, they help to create a more compassionate and holistic approach to dying, ensuring that the individual's wishes are honored and their loved ones are supported throughout this challenging journey.
